Penguin Puffs have been around for a while yet I don’t think I’ve tried them. It’s an organic, probably super good-for-you kind of cereal. On the other hand, I recently discovered penguin flakes – kinda sounds icky – Like flakes of penguin or something. They aren’t really named “penguin Flakes”, that’s just what we call them because the box is so fun. Really, it’s the generic brand at Walmart “Great Value” and their version of Frosted Flakes, which I LOVE. Took me a couple seconds to make the connection… why penguins? Then it hit me, Frosted… snow and ice… penguins. Oh yeah, now I get it – maybe!
Since finding these yummy spoonfuls of penguin happiness, I think we’ve gone through 6 boxes. It lasts about 2 days in my house. Tasty!
I tried to find a link for you to buy the penguin flakes cereal, in case you don’t have them in your penguin land… all I could find does not have the penguin on the box (I think it’s a penguin footprint though) – sorry!
On that same thought…
July 11th, you could have had Pancakes with the Penguins at the Akron zoo. Unfortunately the event is now sold out. SOunds like a blast, however. Thanks to our friends at the Zoo Advisor for sharing the penguin news!
By the way, don’t look too hard for the Penguin Puffs, my digging around found heaps of news saying the cereal has been recalled due to wheat allergies. ( I always thought tht ment, don’t eat it, not.. pull it from the universe) Who woulda thunk.
