According to an article in Britain’s Telegraph, global warming is decreasing the food supply (and the population ) of the king penguin. The climate change could also affect the breeding of other antarctic penguin populations.

On the flip side, according to a CBS News article, the climate change is helping
“So far, climate change has been good for the penguins of Cape Royds. Clearing ice has left plenty of open ocean for feeding. But the air is still frigid, averaging just 15 degrees in the summer.”
However, the article does go on to say, “While the population is thriving on Cape Royds, on the peninsula colonies are collapsing. There, temperatures have risen five times faster than in the rest of the world.”
“It’s not so much about global warming, but about climate change.”
My reminder on the topic… Every ecosystem is sensitive to various changes, so even a percentage of a degree can cause huge changes. So when someone says “it’s the little things that count”, really the little things can make a enormous impact.
