Seaworld at Gold Coast Australia opened a new state-of-the-art fairy penguin exhibit March 7th.
Penguin Point will initially be home to 11 fairy penguins from Sea World and Perth Zoo.

It is much larger than the previous exhibit – with a capacity of up to 60 birds – and contains 100,000 litres of filtered water in a large pool system for the penguins.
There are also 30 specially designed burrows.
Sea World hopes to see breeding among the penguin population in the near future. With more Fairy Penguins coming from Perth, Coffs Harbor and South Australia, Penguin Point is well on its way to housing its capacity of 60 birds.
